What CES is and who can attend
CES is an industry event run by the Consumer Technology Association, not a walk-up public attraction. Registration requires meeting current admission rules and demonstrating industry affiliation.
Exhibits span LVCC, Venetian and other locations. Eureka Park startups and major hardware halls belong in separate logistics blocks.
Registration and Media Days
Register only through CES and prepare proof of professional affiliation. Pass type determines access to conference programming and selected events.
Media Days on January 4–5 are for accredited journalists and are not automatically included with attendee admission. Do not book around press conferences until accreditation is confirmed.
Venues and transport
The Monorail links the Strip with LVCC, but stations and walkways become crowded around opening. Official shuttles connect remote clusters; queue time belongs in the schedule.
Avoid back-to-back meetings in West Hall and Venetian. Security, indoor walks and crowds turn a short map distance into a long transfer.
Where to stay for CES
A hotel near a Monorail station often beats a prettier isolated resort. North and central Strip work for LVCC; central Strip is practical for Venetian.
CES rates climb sharply, and resort fees may be absent from the first displayed price. Compare final totals and cancellation conditions.
