About AlpacaBag
Who we are, why we built a travel planner, and what we believe a good trip should feel like.
Our story
AlpacaBag started from a familiar frustration: planning a trip in a generic AI chat meant inventing prompts, copying scraps into Notes, and still getting a “top 10” list that could belong to anyone.
We wanted something that understands your group, pace, and constraints — and returns a day-by-day plan you can actually use. So we built a guided wizard: it asks the right questions, packs logistics into a polished PDF, and weaves local finds between the headline sights.
Our philosophy
We believe a good trip is personal, not averaged. These principles shape every route AlpacaBag builds.
- About you, not “everyone” — Your company, interests, diet, budget, and pace — not a one-size-fits-all vacation template.
- Any trip format — A bike ride, motorcycle tour, road trip, city break, trip with kids or pets, 20 days across cities in Japan — the wizard builds a route around your scenario, not a generic vacation.
- A scenario, not a checklist — Day-by-day timing, walking legs, food on the way, and logic that feels like a real walk through the city.
- Local depth — Hidden spots and verified details instead of the same bland lists copied from search results.
- Less prompt engineering — The wizard asks what matters before the trip — so you look forward to packing, not wrestling with a chatbot.
