- Walking: Valletta is hilly with many stairs. If you have a stroller or mobility issues, use the Barrakka Lift to get from the harbor level to the Upper Gardens.
- Tickets: Buy the St. John’s Co-Cathedral ticket online to skip the morning queue. For the Palace, the Heritage Malta Multi-Site pass is only worth it if you visit 3+ sites.
- Photography: The best light for the Grand Harbour is during the "Golden Hour" (18:15–18:50). For the Cathedral, no flash photography is allowed.
