Entry rules: why online booking is mandatory
Capacity is capped around 1,400 visitors per hour. Tickets are nominative, dated, and timed; buy exclusively via parkguell.barcelona (max 7 tickets per checkout; groups of 8+ use the organised-groups flow). Gate desks do not replace a booking. Even free child tickets must be reserved online.
The UNESCO monumental zone is regulated and ticketed; the adjacent woodland is for walks without a slot — but without the postcard architecture.

Guided tours and Gaudí House Museum
The official site lists guided tours and a combo with the Gaudí House Museum — confirm live prices at checkout. We do not resell park tickets; partner experiences are separate — you still need an official QR for the monumental zone.
Getting there: entrances and transit
Official FAQ recommendations: Carretera del Carmel 23 (best with bus 24 and taxis), Carrer de Larrard / Carrer d'Olot side, and the escalator on Avinguda del Santuari de Sant Josep de la Muntanya. Vallcarca (L3) is often discouraged while Baixada de la Glòria escalators are out of service.
Allow 30–40 minutes from the centre plus buffer before your slot. Keep maps online with an eSIM. Do not rely on outdated guides that promise a free Bus Güell from Alfons X — the shuttle is frequently suspended.
A 1.5–2 hour walk inside the park
- Entrance → main stair lodges and salamander (arrive at slot open for fewer people).
- Hypostyle Hall → mosaic bench terrace and city view.
- Austria Gardens / upper viaducts → exit (no re-entry).
Soft light: late slots before sunset (seasonal tourist bands roughly from 9:00/9:30). Morning slots are quieter on the stair.

Can I buy tickets at the gate?
No. Monumental-zone tickets are sold online in advance on parkguell.barcelona. Without a QR, entry is not guaranteed. AlpacaBag does not resell official Park Güell tickets.
What does entry cost in 2026?
Official table orientation: general ticket €18 (VAT included), ages 7–12 and 65+ €13.50, ages 0–6 free (still need a booked ticket). Combos with the Gaudí House Museum are separate products on the site.
How late can I arrive?
Up to 30 minutes after the time on your ticket. Example: 9:30 slot → enter until 10:00. After that you lose entry. Inside you may stay as long as you like; re-entry after exiting is not allowed.
Is the free Bus Güell from Alfons X running?
As of October 2026 the shuttle is often unavailable — do not plan around it. Prefer bus 24 to Carretera del Carmel 23 (upper entrance) or approaches via Carrer d’Olot / Larrard.
What is free in the park?
The woodland / nature area outside the regulated monumental zone. Gingerbread lodges, the dragon stair, Hypostyle Hall, and the mosaic bench require a paid timed ticket.
