Welcome to your bespoke Roman culinary odyssey. This journey is designed for two food enthusiasts to uncover the authentic flavors of the Eternal City, from ancient Jewish traditions to the vibrant street food of the modern Roman working class.
🌤 WEATHER SUMMARY & NUANCES: Expect a true Roman summer with temperatures peaking between +28°C and +33°C. The sun is intense, so hydration is key—look for the "nasoni" (curved-nose fountains) for free, ice-cold drinking water. Wear light, breathable fabrics, but keep a scarf in your bag for churches. We have scheduled a mid-day "siesta" to avoid the 12:00–17:00 heat, allowing you to enjoy the city during the magical "golden hours" and late sunsets.
Total Estimated Amount: $709 / €656 🏨 Accommodation (2 nights): $300 / €278 🗺️ Daily Expenses: $344 / €318 🛡️ Contingency Fund (10%): $65 / €60 We wish you a spectacular journey filled with unforgettable flavors! Please remember to check current opening hours and book any specific tours a few days in advance. Budget estimates are based on 2025/2026 projections.

Transit to the heart of the city.
Take Metro Line B.

A resilient enclave where Roman and Jewish cultures merged to create unique dishes. Notice the "Stumbling Stones" (brass plaques) in the cobblestones honoring Holocaust victims. This is one of the oldest ghettos in the world, established in 1555.
Easter Egg: Find the Fountain of the Turtles (Fontana delle Tartarughe) in Piazza Mattei; the turtles were added by Bernini decades after the fountain was built.

A scenic 15-minute stroll through the narrow Via del Portico d'Ottavia.
A bustling square dominated by the somber statue of philosopher Giordano Bruno. While the morning market is gone, the surrounding bakeries are the real stars here. This was the only square in Rome without a church until recently.

A short walk north through the heart of the Papal city.
Rome's most elegant Baroque stage, built over the ancient Stadium of Domitian. Admire Bernini's Fountain of the Four Rivers, where the figures represent the Nile, Ganges, Danube, and Rio de la Plata. In the 17th century, the square was flooded in August to create a "lake" for the nobility to cool off.
Easter Egg: Look at the Church of Sant'Agnese in Agone; legend says the statue of the Rio de la Plata is raising its hand to protect itself from the church falling down.
The best-preserved monument of Ancient Rome, glowing under the night lights. The dome is still the world's largest unreinforced concrete dome.
